Since our company was founded in 1965 as Hikoyama Seiki Co., Ltd. we have made steady progress in acquiring and developing unique technologies for producing rolls for a wide variety of fields.

Since our founding, through trial and error we have always tried to determine what materials to use and processes to implement in order to achieve our target accuracy, and we always keep meticulous flowchart records of the manufacturing process.

Through continued use of this method, we have acquired a vast amount of data which forms the foundation of our technical capabilities.

In recent years, remarkable progress has been made in machine tool technology, meaning faster machining times are possible. However, corresponding efficiency of machining procedures and processes has, in general, yet to be realized.

It is an undeniable fact that the processing procedure, including heat treatment for the purpose of material modification, cannot be omitted or shortened, because the best way to maintain high precision is to understand and make the best use of materials, no matter how high the processing technology of the high-precision machines.

However, in order to improve our overall processing process, in 2011, we began construction of a low-vibration, windowless plant and have been working to improve all aspects of the work environment.

We will continue to embrace new technological fields and demonstrate our frontier spirit, determined to take on new fields together with our customers, as we aim to make further progress as a company that values this spirit in the future.
